The Perfect Valentine's Wedding

I had the opportunity to photograph my first solo wedding recently for a wonderful couple, Michael and Kelley.  The day was beautiful.  They had 70 degree weather, a gorgeous sunset, and such fun family and friends.  I love a man that will kiss his woman all day long with no complaints.  You two were so easy to work with and contact me again for your next family portrait!

An open door

I was contacted two weeks ago from a woman wanting to do a low-key wedding on Valentine's day in downtown Charleston.  Although I have had opportunities to second shoot for photographers, this is my first SOLO wedding.  AHHHHH!  I am terrified, but excited.  I went downtown today to practice and make sure I knew exactly where I wanted to get pictures.  Here are a couple shots of the area the wedding will be.  Pictures of the wedding will come soon. :)

What a beautiful couple!

Recently, I had the opportunity to second shoot with another photographer in Charleston, Alyona.  We had a blast working with the couple and getting to know one another.  Most of our shots are on Alyona's website, but here are a couple from the day.

Baby Jaxen

This family was so much fun to work with. Jaxen is 3 months old and already has so many different faces. I loved laughing with mom and dad as they tried to bring out that gorgeous smile. Thank you for spending the afternoon with me and I hope these pictures make you smile.

Home Sweet Home

My husband recently accepted a position that took us to Charleston, SC.  We bought a beautiful home, started new jobs, had many visitors, and had so much fun.  This has unfortunately caused me to neglect my photography, but I had a chance one morning to get out downtown and take some photos.  Who knew that at 6 in the morning there would be fishermen catching sharks?  I love living here and can't wait to take more photos!

Natalie's Bachelorette Weekend

Bachelorette parties are always fun, but it was especially wonderful to catch up with all of these amazing men and women.  College seems so far away and Natalie's bachelorette party gave us such a great excuse to act like crazy eighteen year olds again and reminisce on all the good times.  Natalie has been such a great friend over the years and we are so blessed to have her in our lives.  Thank you Shelly for planning such a great weekend to celebrate Natalie!  The drive was definitely worth it!

For Gabriel's one year old birthday, I ran over to the house to take a few pictures.  The dogs were the audience as Rachel and I tried endlessly to make Gabriel laugh.  Miss this baby so much!  Rachel, give him a squeeze for me!

In Asheville, we are snowed in yet again. This time around, Russell and I decided to set up my tri-pod and document all of the beautiful snow. We are moving to Charleston, South Carolina in a few weeks and know that we will not see a snow like this for a while. Well...off to snuggle up by the fire!

Winter in Asheville

Seriously...I know this post is wayyyyyy overdue, but I have been so busy with holidays, work, and so much more. No excuses....I need to get better at this, but here are some photos from Christmas time with the in-laws (who are amazing!) and the crazy snow storms in Asheville.
